What is a QR Code?
A QR Code is built from three corner finder patterns, timing lines, format information and the data area — up to version 40 (177×177 modules). Four error-correction levels (L 7% / M 15% / Q 25% / H 30%) let it survive wear, occlusion and small print.
Capacity and error correction
- Roughly 7,089 numeric / 4,296 alphanumeric / 2,953 byte-mode bytes;
- Byte mode carries Chinese via UTF-8 (3 bytes per character);
- With a logo or print wear, choose Q/H — up to ~30% occlusion is recoverable.

Digits and letters (see the spec section for this symbology); example: https://codeboxhub.com.
