Online Codabar Generator
13 one- / two-dimensional barcode formats, check digits computed automatically.
What is Codabar?
Codabar encodes digits plus A–F start/stop characters. Its short, fast-scanning structure made it the de-facto standard for blood bags (A/B), library spines (C), X-ray film (D/E) and financial documents (E). There is no built-in check digit; mod 16 can be appended by your system.
Encoding rules
- Data portion: digits only;
- Start/stop pairs set the domain: A general, B blood, C library, D film, E finance, F custom;
- Short total width fits narrow strips like book spines.
