What is a Text QR Code?
Text QR codes share plain content: notices, remarks, addresses, activation codes. CodeBox's engine auto-selects the tightest mode among numeric, alphanumeric, byte and kanji — same content, smaller and faster-scanning code.
Encoding modes
- Numeric: densest (3 characters per 10 modules);
- Alphanumeric: A–Z, 0–9, a few symbols (2 chars per 11 modules);
- Byte: any UTF-8; one Chinese character = 3 bytes;
- Newlines are preserved in the decoded text.
